A classy venue, beautiful surroundings, great hospitality…and mud!!
Our brief was to arrange an activities afternoon, to include clay pigeon shooting, a quad bike safari, as well as conference, private dining and an overnight stay.
Though many hotels profess to cater for quad-biking, few (if any) have suitable grounds for the full off-road safari experience we were after. The better option then; to hire a bus to take the teams off-site from the comfortable surroundings of Alexander House, and out into field and forest!
The mud-caked instructors greeting us on arrival gave a fair idea of what lay ahead…
The competition was on – would Team A or B score highest on numbers of birds shot down / the most skilled at manoeuvring a quad?
Suffice to say, the return to the warmth of the hotel, the awaiting refreshment and the promise of clean clothes wasn’t entirely unwelcome! The day ended with a round up, dinner, drinks into the evening – and some great stories!
