Following in the success of previous A* star programmed events, we set-out to create an afternoon and evening of celebration and inspiration for the CC and EMC teams. A week-long ‘awareness’ roadshow preceded the main event, comprising a coffee bar tour of Computacenter’s UK offices (see separate case study).
The feel of the event was agreed as smart but not too formal, with a move from the more traditional seated conference, to a ‘press conference’ style presentation. The venue chosen was The Hospital Club in Covent Garden, as it has the right mix of cool, cultured and comfortable.
Following a brief awards ceremony, celebrating partnership successes, we moved to the networking piece – leading into the evening. Formalities were dispensed with again, save a healthy dose of competition that accompanies any such team activity! 4 ‘tasting stations’ were set-up as a surprise element of the event, inviting teams to try samples of unusual liqueurs and complete a tasting card to match sample to number. Some high scores were achieved, proving the discerning taste of our delegates, and some less impressive scores came in too!
The evening was complete with an appropriate ‘beverage-related’ award for group and individual prizes, culminating in a ‘shot-off’ for the tie-breaking winners!
