The Brief:
Computacenter and EMC wanted to bring their sales forces together for a networking event to encourage new partnership opportunities and build the company relationship between its employees. They did not want this event to be the normal ‘hum-drum’, they wanted this event to provide an environment for new relationships to thrive and tasked Eclipse with creating the event.
The Answer:
The venue had been booked (Park Lane, Hilton) and theme agreed (Olympics 2012), Eclipse then worked with Computacenter to develop a unique way of making sure that each member of the Computacenter team needed to talk to an EMC staff member (and vice versa) in order to stay on and enjoy at the event. This dynamic proved extremely successful providing new contacts and opportunities for both Computacenter and EMC staff.
The networking side of the event was also paired with an Xbox Kinect 100m Olympics challenge where attendees were encouraged to try and set the fastest 100m sprint time with the overall winner of the challenge taking home the Xbox Kinect. This created another talking point, providing one more ‘ice-breaker’ moment for attendees.
